Communicator - Leader
About Karyn ...
Change is upon us, if we do not act now to shift the way our Eurobodalla Shire Council plans for growth, serves its community, protects our natural assets and our relaxed way of life, we will end up as yet another sprawling, unfriendly, urban environment.
After escaping Sydney in the 1990s Karyn, and her GP husband Neil, settled in Moruya with their two small children in 1999.
An ex-financial markets trader, Karyn is now a journalist working for Region Media, publishers of About Regional and The RiotACT, and ABC Radio.
Committed to her local community, Karyn has held positions in many local school, club and community organisations including Moruya SLSC, Broulee Dolphins RUFC, South Coast Anglican Schools Board, Mirrabooka Riding Club and the Moruya Jazz Festival.
An effective communicator and efficient organiser, Karyn is seeking election to council because she believes the Eurobodalla is at an important crossroad in its history, “If we do not act now to change the way our council plans for growth, serves its community and protects our natural assets and our relaxed way of life, we will end up as yet another sprawling, unfriendly, urban environment. The Eurobodalla deserves better local government and a better future.”
